Fantastic Class on French Maccaroons

Today we took a class at a local Parisian cooking school on the art of preparing the classic French macaroons. These precious and delicious treats we’re made famous by the world renowned bakery Laduree of course located here in Paris.
If you have not had the opportunity to try these amazing little cookies I hope you will soon. The outside is crisp, light and crunchy while the filling creates this chewy center and they just melt in your mouth.
I have been preparing macaroons in my kitchen for sometime and while they taste amazing they have only resembled these gorgeous Parisian morsels. After learning many tips and techniques from my French chef today, I am hopeful that I will be turning out the magnificent treats in no time.
You know how I love to share my recipes so as soon as I get the conversions done for an American home chef I will share!!
