1/3 cup extra dark coco
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
1 cup water
2 eggs
½ cup buttermilk
1 ½ teaspoon vanilla

Add liquid to flour mixture. Add eggs and buttermilk and stir well. Pour batter into a 9 x 13 glass baking dish and cook for 35 minutes. Add frosting as soon as cake comes out of the oven.

Frosting
1 stick butter softened
½ cup heavy cream
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
4 cups powdered sugar

Combine butter, vanilla, cocoa and about half of the cream into a bowl and beat with an electric mixer until it is smooth, begin to add sugar slowly, add more cream as needed to achieve desired consistency. For extra creamy frosting beat on high speed for 4-6 minutes.
