Christmas tree cookieChristmas Tree Cookies are a holiday tradition at our house. It all started when my daughter was in first grade. I had a sweet friend and neighbor, Sharon, that had gone on a quest to find THE BEST iced sugar cookie recipe in the world. She had tested many recipes looking for the most scrumptious one because it was her husband’s favorite cookie. She finally landed on the recipe below and was kind enough to share it with me. Making these cookies in the shape of Christmas Trees, has become a ritual that marks the beginning of the holiday season. My children still look forward to these tender tasty morsels every year!

2 cups butter
3 cups powdered sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon almond extract
5 cups flour
